Github Hot AI Projects Review
Sometimes it gives you surprises

1 AIRI
I haven’t written code in a year and I’m quite new to the AI trend but I’m not new to the chatbot. Back in 2021 before I started to figure out life by quitting jobs and delivering Uber Eats and writing, I already used python and google’s stt and tts libraries to build chatbot without AI – today for the first project I’m gonna review an AI bot called AIRI.
The first thing was I brew installed the GUI of the app and played around, immediately I found out that I couldn’t live speak to the virtual bot. The setting test mode on app module/hearing was not streaming my speech at all. So I downloaded the whole repo and started the dev mode to debug.

I loaded the whole project into claude desktop and ask it why the hearing module is not working specifically on web, it found out that the previous dev simplified the UI but somehow the code was not written correctly.
And after the fix I’m able to talk to the bot on web with ease.

And then I created a PR for this bug (https://github.com/moeru-ai/airi/pull/2370). It became a bug fixing journey. I’m like a product owner. And then I moved on to fixing the electron version of the app (the speaking also doesn’t work there), the online “flux” they gave me originally had run out and I had to pay. So I stopped here. I didn’t really wanna pay to contribute to the open source projects and I could use open source model here but I just don’t bother.

The conclusion is that I haven’t experienced much about the Artificial intelligence part of the chat bot, it seems only just used LLM to process user input, but further investigation was blocked by a too early paywall. It doesn’t really matter the advanced technology because the basic voice to voice function is not usable and it takes 2 seconds in average for the model to think before replying to me with sound, this is almost unaccepatable.
2 img2threejs
This is really cool because sometimes I think about doing ecommerce and I need fire product images, threejs generated 3d models are fire product images! Let’s hop in.
This is a skill so essentially just need to git clone into the claude skill repo and then /img2threejs . This is what I threw in …

It ran for two hours and this is what came out:

The effect is really really good, I guess I can kick start my ecommerce career now! Just kidding, the quality is a bit rough for it to be really inspected by the consumers, they are more like concept diagrams for consumers to have an awareness of the structural spec of the goods.
This is a very successful but slow skill that claude can use.
